TUCSON -- Jeromy Burnitz signed with the Colorado Rockies to play left field.
And, he said Tuesday, that's where he wants to play.
Not that he was complaining about being given the start in center field in the Rockies' 12-4 exhibition victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Tucson Electric Park in which Burnitz, Charles Johnson, Todd Helton and Brad Hawpe hit home runs.
"I feel pretty confident about my outfield play," Burnitz said. "I think I can do an adequate job in center field. . . . But I don't want to play center field. I don't want to play right field. I want to play left field." ...
