Harvard center Tom Cavanagh has learned that hanging around the opponent's goal may make him the target of some very physical attention, but it can also pay off in a big way.
And on Saturday night, the junior from Warwick, R.I., Toll Gate High and Phillips Exeter Academy was in the right place at the right time - just outside the crease of the Brown goal.
Firmly planted, he converted a rebound of a Dylan Reese shot for an overtime goal that gave the Crimson a critical two-game sweep of the favored Bears in the ECAC quarterfinals.
