Today's "What They're Listening To" surveys recordings of music in and of Venice in the 16th century, as the first installment of CD recommendations on early Venetian music by John W. Barker, a retired UW professor of medieval history. Barker is also a nationally recognized record and music critic who sits on the board of directors of the Madison Early Music Festival.
