The managing director of the mining company, Simsa (Compania Minera San Ignacio de Morococha), Mr. Humberto Montes, says that the company expects to increase by 1mil m tons the reserves in its San Vicente mine, by means of further exploration. Simsa also intends to increase its production of zinc by 37% this year, reaching a total of 72,000 m tons.
