Glendale is planning a 150th birthday celebration.
Planning is under way for a world premiere musical, public art projects and a tabletop book to commemorate next year's anniversary.
Founded in 1851, the village was incorporated in 1855 and is one of only three National Historic Landmark districts in Ohio and the first planned railroad commuter town in the United States.
The village hopes to raise $60,000 to underwrite its sesquicentennial projects.
Robyn Carey Communications, a public relations firm, will coordinate fund-raising, marketing, public relations and volunteers.
