Mar. 19--EAST HAMPTON, Conn. -- Tenants being evicted from East Hampton Mall to make way for a major supermarket vowed Thursday not to go without a fight.
"We were told, 'You walk away from your business,'" said Brenda Foberg, whose family recently spent $350,000 renovating the Belltown Colonial IGA supermarket anchoring the Route 66 shopping center. "I don't think so."
Colonial IGA is among eight shops, restaurants and medical offices served with eviction notices this week by the owner, Farmington-based Landmark East Hampton LLC. Most have one year to ...
