CAMP HILL, Pa. -- Millions of diabetes patients can now receive personal care on the Web thanks to a unique arrangement between Rite Aid Corp. and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Diabetes patients can obtain expert advice from specially trained Rite Aid pharmacists through an "Ask the Pharmacist" feature over the ADA's web site, www.diabetes.org.
Rite Aid and the ADA note that diabetes patients are often in need of immediate answers to pressing health questions but are hampered by limited access to busy physicians.
But Ask the Pharmacist provides patients with e-mail access to Rite Aid pharmacists, affording patients personal responses ...
