The Cincinnati Symphony has made it official:

The orchestra will return to Europe in October and November.

Three years in the making, the tour will be led by Paavo Jarvi, his second international tour with the orchestra and his fourth since becoming CSO music director in September 2001.

Underwriting has been secured through commitments from Toyota Motor Manufacturing of North America Inc. and an anonymous donor.

The announcement, made today, ends speculation that the long projected tour might not take place. The CSO is expecting a $1.4 million deficit this year, and the board has ...
