Wayne Simien and Kansas are healthy and headed to the round of 16.
Simien had 18 points and 12 rebounds and the Jayhawks overcame a slow start to beat Pacific, 78-63, Sunday in the second round of the St. Louis Regional.
It was the 10th double-double of the season for Simien.
Kansas, which has made two straight Final Fours, is in the round of 16 for the fourth consecutive year. The fourth-seeded Jayhawks will face Alabama-Birmingham.
Pacific, the Big West Conference Tournament champion, had won 16 in a row coming in and didn't seem the least bit intimidated by Kansas or its basketball pedigree. ...
