Mar. 24--Kaiser Permanente is expected to decide by late May if it will build a $100 million hospital either in mushrooming Clark County or the fast-growing area of Beaverton, Ore., west of Portland.
The decision timetable is part of long-range strategic planning under way inside the Portland-based nonprofit health maintenance organization, which serves 440,000 members throughout the region including 97,000 in the Vancouver area and another 35,000 in Longview.
