ROUND ROCK, Texas _ On the heels of a recovery in the United States, computer sales are swelling in Latin America.
And at the sprawling headquarters of Dell Inc., the No.1 computer maker in this country is cranking up production to keep up with a Latin American market share that has tripled in the last three years.
The fact that touchy-feely Latin Americans would embrace Dell's sterile buying experience via the Internet and telephone might seem surprising. But whether in Arkansas or Argentina, Massachusetts or Mexico, consumers want good value and service, company executives say.
