It's been 11 years, but area soccer fans will finally have a chance to see the U.S. men's national team play in Soldier Field.
The United States will take on Poland on July 11, after which the Chicago Fire will play the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer.
"It's very exciting to have the U.S. men's national team back in Chicago," Fire general manager Peter Wilt said. "This is a new generation of U.S. soccer players. It's a great opportunity for Chicago fans to see the change of the U.S. men over the last 10 years."
