INTRODUCTION
In the fall of 2002, twins Jeana and Jenna Hoffman led their South Dakota high school basketball team to a perfect regular season. (1) That same school year, in the winter, the twins helped their gymnastics team finish third in the state meet. (2) Now, however, rather than continuing to shine in two sports and continuing to cultivate two possibilities for college athletic scholarships, the Hoffman twins must give up one of the sports to which they have devoted years of hard work.
