Polish PM Leszek Miller will step down May 2, dissolve Cabinet
Warsaw. March 26. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller will resign from his post and dissolve his Cabinet on May 2, Miller told a Friday evening news conference.
Citing a "crisis of hope and trust" amongst his party's electorate and a "decomposition of [the government's] leftist backing," Miller said he would resign the day after Poland joins the European Union.
"We cannot allow, even in the smallest degree, the important decisions ahead of Poland to be undermined," Miller said of his decision.
