Madison County - with politicians, punch and cupcakes - unveiled its bicentennial logo Thursday afternoon in the county office building in Wampsville.
There were balloons, cameras and speeches from Assemblyman Bill Magee and Board of Supervisors Chairman Rocco DiVeronica. There was a proclamation from Gov. George Pataki, who was invited but did not attend. The drum line from Canastota High School's marching band rat-tat-tatted a drum roll.
