QUEENS, N.Y., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- On the count of three, more than 100 people, from local school children to community leaders, jointly cut two garland ribbons this morning, kicking off the preview of Queens Center's $275 million redevelopment.
The ceremony launches a weekend of festivities featuring fashion and musical events throughout the mall and the opening of the World's Fare Cafes, Queens Center's new food court. The preview marks the opening of many of the Center's new retailers, making its expansion and modernization visibly apparent to shoppers.
