Don't look now, but a monstrous enemy battleship is looming off the lakeshore of Milwaukee with its guns aimed squarely at the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.
Its chilling mission is occupation.
Enemy battleship may be a slight exaggeration, depending upon how favorably disposed you may be toward the state of Iowa. The battleship actually is the USS Des Moines.
But there can be little doubt the thing is a monstrosity. And anyone who prefers the natural beauty of the lakefront to gray paint and gun turrets would certainly consider it a hostile presence.
