A lot of contractors seem content letting their residential customers go to home centers and retail outlets to buy replacement media for their air cleaners and humidifiers. True, there is often a small price difference. However, given that many of these replacement media are not UL-approved for the manufacturers' equipment, are contractors doing their customers any good by letting these sales slip away?
Are contractors doing their own companies any good by not selling replacement media?
