Little Rock media moved fast in booting convicted felon Martha Stewart from the airwaves and printed pages.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette dropped Stewart's Sunday column as of March 7. KTHV dumped her syndicated TV show from its weekdays and Saturday broadcast schedule as of March 5, the day Stewart was convicted of obstructing justice and lying to federal investigators over a stock sale.
Deputy Editor Frank Fellone said the decision to make the Democrat-Gazette a Martha-free zone was in the best interests of the newspaper and readers. The newspaper had postponed a decision until Stewart's trial had concluded.
