It's tough when your alter ego gets more work than you do.
Varla Jean Merman had a recurring role on All My Children as Rosemary Chicken; she sang with Betty Buckley and appeared on HBO and MTV specials. Now she's performing three shows this weekend at the Phoenix Theatre, one a fund-raiser that commands up to $100 a ticket.
Jeffery Roberson, 33, has done some indie films and spends most of his time squiring Varla Jean around the country.
