BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- As only Metro State coach Mike Dunlap could do, he brought his entire team to the interview room Thursday night.
Metro State had its 30-game win streak snapped when Joe Gordon worked free inside for a short shot with 2 seconds remaining to give Southern Indiana University an 83-81 win against the top-ranked Roadrunners in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II Elite Eight basketball tournament at Centennial Garden.
Southern Indiana (28-6) will play for the national title Saturday morning instead of the Roadrunners, who were seeking their third national title in the past five seasons. ...
