STANDING on Mount Nebu in Jordan felt like being part of a scene from the Bible. Israel was spread out in the misty distance and the sun was gradually setting in a pink haze over the Dead Sea.
As our guide Joseph pointed out, we were on the same olive-covered hill from which Moses had seen the Promised Land.
Trying to swim in the Dead Sea was another memorable experience! It's actually a lake, 1,300 feet below sea level and 10 times more salty than normal sea.
