Research has previsously created a temporary arteriovenous (AV) J-loop fistula from the patent popliteal artery to the greater saphenous vein at the ankle level using contralateral saphenous vein graft (followed by free tissue transfer performed by dividing the fistula apex).

Aim
To review experience with temporary arteriovenous (AV) fistula followed by free tissue transfer in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers associated with peripheral arterial occlusion.
