Mar. 30--SET-listed Pranda Jewelry Plc is taking advantage of cheaper labour costs in Vietnam to expand its profile in the global market, aiming to triple its annual output in Vietnam by next year.

Pranda chairman Prida Tiasuwan said capacity expansion at the company's wholly owned operation in Danang would give jewellery made there a competitive edge in the international market.

About 90 percent of Pranda's output in Vietnam is now exported, mainly to the United States and Germany.
