Mobile operator Polkomtel boosts net profit by 47% to PLN 756.6 mln in 2003
Warsaw. March 30. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Polish cellular telecom operator Polkomtel, jointly held by Britain's Vodafone, Denmark's TDC and three Polish industrial giants, boosted net profit by 47% to PLN 756.6 mln in 2003 on the back of PLN 212.7 mln net profit in the fourth quarter, the company said in a statement.
Polkomtel, the smallest of three Polish operators by client count, repaid PLN 500 mln in debt to shareholders, replacing it with cheaper short-term bond issues.
