DETROIT _ The memories remain as strong as the questions. Images of a young life cut short permeate every fiber of Daniel and Phyllis Lawson's west-side Detroit home.
The Oklahoma State basketball uniform of their youngest son, Danny Lawson, hangs framed on a living-room wall. The urn bearing his ashes rests beside a marble replica of a cowboy solemnly lowering his hat to the ground, symbolic of honoring the fallen. Inscribed below are the words: "We will always remember."
