Mar. 28--The Madison County Industrial Development Authority appears poised to go ahead with a controversial plan to bring municipal water to an area where groundwater has been contaminated by decades-old spills from a petroleum pipeline.
Marvin White, the authority's executive director, said he expects the authority to meet sometime this week to decide whether to approve a contract with the company that operates the pipeline, Colonial Pipeline.
