Mar. 31--The newest chapter in revitalization efforts at downtown Roanoke's Henry Street is turning a page.
In a proposal that could see renovation begin this spring, the Roanoke Higher Education Center is developing plans to convert an abandoned Henry Street building into a culinary arts school.
In documents obtained by The Roanoke Times, officials outline preliminary plans to renovate the single-floor building, or "corner shops," beside the old Ebony Club.
