Tesco is ramping up its c-store operation, consolidating Tesco Express, T&S and Adminstore into one group.

The merged structure will be headed by former T&S chief Colin Holmes who is promoted to CEO of the UK c-store arm.

Holmes became CEO of T&S Stores when Tesco bought it in November 2002. Tesco had also recently boosted its c-store portfolio after the OFT cleared the acquisition of 45 stores from London-based Adminstore.

Steve Murrells, Tesco's fresh produce category manager, will replace Holmes as CEO of T&S and reports to his predecessor.
