WOMEN are now under more pressure than ever to attain the perfect lifestyle.

But the stress of failure in the have-it-all age is driving young women to commit suicide at an alarming rate, experts warned yesterday.

Research shows that women in Scotland aged between 15 and 24 are now almost twice as likely to take their own lives as they were a decade ago.

Specialists say the demand on young women to be successful in both their careers and personal lives is largely to blame for the increasing number of suicides. And they fear the toll will continue to rise.
