Madison, Wis. -- Applause and cheers erupted in a hotel lobby Wednesday afternoon when police told a crowd of Minnesotans who had been searching for Audrey Seiler that she had been found alive and well.
But police tempered the news by telling the crowd of about 60 friends and family members who had returned to the Holiday Inn Express after searching all morning that they were still looking for an armed man who was believed to be in the area near the hotel.
Seiler, 20, a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, disappeared early Saturday from her off-campus apartment without a coat or a purse.
