MULTAN, Mar.31 PPI: Violence against children is increasing day by day in Pakistan and a total of 1788 children including 1262 girls were sexually assaulted during 2003 while 140 children were killed to conceal the crime after assaulting them.

"Total of 1788 cases of sexually assaults on minor children were reported to police, while un-reported cases cannot be assessed. 1262 girls and 526 boys were sexually assaulted during one year while 679 children were sexually harassed during 2002 showing an alarming increase in these crimes," a report of NGO Sahil revealed published recently, a report of NGO Sahil revealed published recently.
