April is National Poetry Month, a time when lots of schools focus on reading and writing poetry. We thought it was a great time to talk with Sharon Creech, whose latest book, "Heartbeat,'' is written in free verse.

Sharon Creech has written some of our favorite books, including "Bloomability," "Ruby Holler" and "Walk Two Moons," which won her a Newbery Award.
