Apr. 2--VACAVILLE, Calif. -- Even as they broke ground in Vacaville on what will become the world's largest biotechnology drug-manufacturing facility, Genentech Inc. executives warned that California stands to lose revenue and jobs if it doesn't improve its business climate.
The state must offer incentives to California biotech companies if it wants them to stay, said Susan Desmond-Hellmann, Genentech's president of product development.
