FITCHBURG -- A uniform look for signs, buildings, sidewalks and intersections could be the first thing southbound visitors to Fitchburg notice if a Fish Hatchery Road development plan presented to city residents Wednesday becomes reality.

"This is one of the main entry points into our city," Mayor Thomas Clauder said of the northern part of the road. "As it is now, you can go in and out without ever knowing you were in Fitchburg."
