Yorkshire group helps boost skills
A NEW body that aims to boost skills and training in the South Yorkshire's electrical industry was launched this week.
The organisation, called the Electrical Industry Training and Enterprise (Elite), represents a unique partnership between the sector and the region's three Training and Enterprise Councils (Tecs).
Elite aims to overcome a local shortage of professionals in the electrical industry. The organisation plans to work closely with employers and training providers, including colleges, in developing a package of measures that will allow more craftsmen and women to progress to professional level.
