The Spanish Fundacion Empresa y Crecimiento organization has announced that the Pymex (Fondo para la Pequena y Mediana Empresa Auxiliar del Sector Turismo) fund will have at least US$25mil available for risk capital for tourism projects initiated by small and medium Mexican companies. The fund is made up of capital from Spanish companies such as Telefonica, Banco Santander, Union Fenosa, Sol Melia, Repsol, CAF and Ibero Star, as well as from organizations like the Interamerican Development Bank, Nafin (Nacional Financiera), Fonatur and, shortly, Bancomext (Banco Mexicano de Comercio Exterior.
