East Syracuse Volunteer Fire Department officials have been ordered into state Supreme Court on April22 to defend their suspension of the fire chief and their attempts to expel him from the department.
State Supreme Court Justice Thomas J. Murphy has barred fire officials from taking any further disciplinary action against suspended Chief Vincent C. Stevenson. Stevenson, 33, of 5014 James St., is facing criminal charges of obstructing governmental administration.
