Recently, I met Frances, the education skunk, at the Virginia Marine Science Museum, and it occurred to me that it was the first time I had ever seen a skunk in Virginia Beach.
It does seem odd that these black and white critters live all over Virginia, but not here. Then I began to wonder where all the chipmunks and woodchucks, or groundhogs, were, too. I have never seen either in Virginia Beach.
