Christendom joins the universal celebration of Palm Sunday today, the start of the Holy Week, that will find millions of faithful being transported to a triumphant time of Christs final moments on earth that have left indelible imprints of Christian faith that continue to define the future of mankind.
At the Vatican in Rome starting at sunrise, thousands of pilgrims waving palm fronds and olive branches will gather at St. Peters Square for the Palm Sunday mass traditionally celebrated by Pope John Paul II to bring this years Holy Week observance to an auspicious start.
