With the large production of soybeans in Brazil, processing companies in the country are expanding their capacity. Multinationals such as ADM do Brasil, Bunge, Cargill and Louis Dreyfus (Coinbra) and the Brazilian Caramuru Alimentos, which turn over up to R$25bil per year with agribusiness, are planning investments of R$900mil to expand their soy processing capacity. Caramuru has recently bought by auction a plant from Comove (Companhia Mogiana de Oleos Vegetais), for R$10mil.
