The extraordinary 19th Century house gives no clues to its history.
But it was here, down a driveway opposite Streatham Common, South London, that a young man stabled his horses - before going off to scare the living daylights out of the civilised world.
It was part of the childhood home of William Pratt, who, as Boris Karloff, would become Hollywood's most celebrated Frankenstein's monster.
Tucked away at the back of the house, which has been rebuilt twice, is a magical 100ft garden with red, green and yellow floodlights which transform the enormous beech trees at night.
