The federal government will provide $3 million for improvements to Interstate 81 between Hancock Airport and downtown Syracuse under the terms of a bill approved Friday by the House of Representatives.
The project is among thousands identified in the $275 billion, six-year highway and mass transit measure, which was passed by a vote of 357-65. It includes tens of millions of dollars for roadwork in Central New York.
