Most people love the idea of spring and warm temperatures because it means they can shed their heavy winter coats.
But for some, it's not quite as easy to discard their woolens.
The sheep at Ryerson Woods forest preserve near Deerfield got a helping hand Sunday to prepare for spring and summer months ahead as dozens of spectators watched the demonstration, some grimacing.
Shearing wool off four pregnant and stubborn ewes can be a heavy task indeed. They resist with all their might - all 250-plus pounds of it.
