SAN ANTONIO _ The Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four is a finance major with a 3.78 grade-point average who will graduate this May after just three years at the University of Connecticut.
You would think such a positive example of college athletics as Emeka Okafor would be promoted incessantly by a sport so often tainted by scandal. That's not necessarily the case, however.
To be sure, both before and after UConn won its second NCAA title in six years by beating Georgia Tech, 82-73, on Monday, Huskies Coach Jim Calhoun was praising Okafor's accomplishments on and off the court.
