eBay Motors' online auction business is growing rapidly in Europe's top two markets.

eBay Motors Germany's gross sales soared 192 percent in the second quarter of 2003 compared with the same period in 2002. In the third quarter of last year, the 4-year-old division sold cars, parts and vehicle accessories worth $276 million ([euro]226 million).

Meanwhile, eBay Motors UK, established last May, is selling 360 cars a day.

The German and UK businesses are part of eBay Motors, which is the largest unit of online auction specialist eBay.
