AMWAY CORP. PROJECTS FAST START FOR FIRST SOUTH AMERICAN OPERATION
ADA, Mich., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Amway Corp. opened its first South American operation this week in Brazil, where the direct-sales company had 10,000 new independent distributors within the first three days of business. Amway expects to have 80,000 independent distributors within the first year of operation.
Amway do Brasil Ltda. is Amway's third international opening in just over six months. The company is starting operations with headquarters and three pickup centers in Sao Paulo. Plans call for additional pickup centers in Rio de Janeiro and other urban areas.
