The Barber of DeVille himself, Cedric the Entertainer, finally gets to be in the driver's seat in "Johnson Family Vacation," but this undisguised derivative _ a polite way of saying "steal" _ of "National Lampoon's Vacation" stalls before it ever gets out of the driveway.
An uneasy collection of gags as flat as roadkill and insincere sentimentality, "Johnson Family Vacation" appears to have been thrown together like a teenage boy packing a suitcase on the night before a trip he never wanted to take in the first place.
