Technology can create new efficiencies, but it also adds cost. So as it brings new efficiencies to business operations, business people naturally hope efficiencies offset added expense and eventually reduce costs in relation to sales.
One aspect of vending where this would be particularly beneficial would be in small locations, which have never been profitable for the majority of operators. Can technology make small location vending a profitable business?
No one can say for sure. At present, there are signs that electronic systems which use preloaded shelves can reduce the time needed to service locations.
