Rising energy and raw material costs are prompting price increase announcements for emulsion polymers and other resins used in the adhesives and sealants, and paints and coatings markets, producers say. Dow Chemical's UCAR Emulsion Systems (Caw, NC) recently said it would raise list and off-list prices for acrylic, vinyl acrylic, styrene acrylic, styrene butadiene, and NeoCAR brand polymers 3%-10%, and theology modifiers, 3%, effective April 1.
